Synth.nl Visits Alaska 2014

First of all a Happy New Year to you all! I wanted to start the year of good so here is a new video for you all.

In 2014 we did a very nice family holiday in Alaska. We saw amazing Humpback Whales, Dolhins, Killer Whales, Bears and also amazing Glacier views. We filmed most of it and I compiled a video with some of the best Footage. Sorry for the shaky video here and there. It is quite hard to film with a tele lens from a moving boat ;) I put some music from my OceanoGraphy album under it to get you in the mood. I hope you enjoy it!.

New Groove Unlimited Download Shop with FLACs !!

I have some great news. It has taken a lot of work, but the new Groove Unlimited Download Shop is open!!! At this moment you can already buy a lot of titles as MP3 and FLAC and Ron Boots is very busy filling up the shop with even more titles. But at this moment all my Synth.nl albums are already in there and you can buy them as 256 kbit/s CBR MP3 or in the Full Quality Lossless FLAC format. FLAC is a compression method that doesn't alter the audio at all so you get the same quality as the CD but cheaper and no shipping costs etc. All the artwork for all my albums is included and I have personally checked all the audio files. You can pay by Ideal (bank transfer), PayPal and major credit cards via PayPal at the moment. Soon also Mastercard, Visa and American Express will be directly available, but we are still waiting for the payment provider to get the contracts in order. We didn't want to wait for this to put the site online though. When your order is complete and payed you will receive an E-mail with the download link directly and you can listen right away! As you might have read before I have build this web shop for Groove Unlimited and I'm very proud that it is finally online. Video Synth.nl Visits Cooter Pond 2011

In 2011 we visited Florida in the USA for our holiday. During one of our trips my wife spotted a very nice pond at the side of the road that turned out to be full of life. We spend quite some time there watching all the animals. I took my video camera with me and shot some footage that I turned into this video. The music you hear is a track called 'Chelonia' from my 2009 album OceanoGraphy. More information on the album here: http://www.synth.nl/OceanoGraphy. Synth.nl visits Sea World 2011 Video

This video was initially made for a lecture at school of my youngest daughter about the Killer Whale (Orcinus Orca). On my OceanoGraphy album I also did a track about this magnificent animal called 'Orcinus'. I put that track under this video. I decided to put this video online to promote my OceanoGraphy album that was released in 2009 by Groove Unlimited.



Last summer we visited Sea World in Florida USA with the whole family. I wanted to show these magnificent animals to my kids, of course I'd rather have shown them in the wild, but that is almost impossible. OceanoGraphy Cheque for WWF

Today I visited the Dutch WWF Head Quarters with the whole family. We got a nice tour and the kids got some nice WWF goodies. They really liked being there. But the reason we were there was to deliver a Cheque of 500 euro's from the Revenue of my OceanoGraphy CD that they officially endorsed. It was nice to hear how they use the money to protect endangered animal species. In the picture you see me handing the cheque over. My kids also wanted to be in the picture of course ;) We also discussed to do another project in the future maybe. First WWF Donation from OceanoGraphy Sales

Yesterday I made my first donation to the World Wildlife Fund from the sales of the OceanoGraphy Album. I made an action on the website of the Dutch branch of the WWF and there you could also indicate where the money should be spend on. And in line with the whole idea of the OceanoGraphy concept I selected 'Whales' as the primary target. Well I hope that this will make more people buy the album. I guess every bit helps, so your money is well spend :) Hopefully everyone believes me now as well when I say that I'm donating a cut. I would be even greater to sell ten times as much albums for them and me ;)

Both title track from my OceanoGraphy and AtmoSphere CD were played on the German podcast KlangARTen. It is a very nice radio show that also plays live weekly on the Welle303 webstream. But of course you have to time listening to that. The podcast is available afterwards for your enjoyment. I have some pretty good news. As of this week my latest album OceanoGraphy is now available on CDBaby.com. You can buy it as a download in high quality MP3 so that you don't have to wait for it to ship and of course it is cheaper too. But also when you are overseas (from my point of view) you can order the CD here with a lower shipping cost. Antartico on Dreamscape #90

The opening track of my OceanoGraphy album was played by Ron Boots on his Dreamscape Radio Show #90. The track is called 'Antartico' and is about the Antarctic Ocean. It is a very quiet and sweet track I think. Synth.nl played on Spanish National Radio

Last week I got a message that music from my latest album 'OceanoGraphy' was played on the radio show 'Atmosfera'. This show is broadcasted on Spanish National Radio. That is kind of cool I think :) They will broadcast another track on the show on the 21st of March I was also told. I will try to record this show, but I have no idea yet if they also have a webstream. My Spanish is not very good unfortunately. So if someone can help me with this please let me know. OceanoGraphy wins Best CD 2009 Schallwelle Hörerwahl

Yesterday I went to the Schallwelle Preis awards ceremony. This price is organized by the German Electronic Music Club Schallwende. My OceanoGraphy CD was nominated by the Jury but also by the Listeners. And I'm very pleased to tell you that my OceanoGraphy CD actually won the Listeners price! And that is because of all your votes! Thank you very much for that. I see this as a big compliment and a great motivation to create more music. My congratulations also to the other price winners. And my thanks to the organizers of this very nice event. Price or not, I had a great evening! Hopefully I can be part of this again next year :) Thanks again for all your votes!!

Synth.nl on Soma FM

Last week my music was played on Space Station Soma on the US Soma FM. They played the title track from my current OceanoGraphy album. I got an E-mail from Andre who pointed me to this. I'm very happy to hear such things, so please let me know if you see or hear my music played somewhere. I'm very happy with this airplay since Soma FM is quite big and they have listeners all over the world. Hopefully they will play me some more in the future :)
