BorkHavn Nominated for Schallwelle Best Album of 2020!

I have exiting news. The BorkHavn album I released together with Ron Boot is nominated for the Schallwelle Preis best album of the year 2020. We are in the top five which is pretty nice of course. People could vote on their favorite album on their website so I'm very honored that you chose our album. Thank you very much! Now a jury will decide I guess. Normally there is an award ceremony in Germany but because of Corona it will be done online now. My albums 'OceanoGraphy' and 'Apollo' did win this album of the year award in the past. So be sure to check them out if you haven't heard them. So fingers crossed :)

Apollo Promo Video to Thank you Voters!

Because I'm so happy that Apollo won the 'Best international CD 2011' price at the German Schallwelle Awards I made this video to thank you all who voted for me! I made this video originally for a lecture my oldest daughter. Enjoy :)

Apollo Best International CD of 2011 at Schallwelle!

I just recovered from a very long and exciting day yesterday at the Schallwelle electronic music award ceremony in Bochum Germany. I knew I was nominated with 4 other artists, but since the competition was very fierce I didn't expect to win at all. Then when the category 'best international CD' came up I suddenly heard my name with my Apollo album as the winner. I was in total shock since I had to go up front to the podium and a microphone was put under my nose. I had a total blackout and no idea what I said. Ah well nobody looked weird at me afterwards so I guess it was OK. I was (and still am) very happy of course to win this award. An honor to be picked by both the audience and jury from a long list of albums. Another nice thing was that my friend Eric van der Heijden won the 'best artist international' category. And Ron Boots our label owner and good friend was sitting right in between us. He had a good day too :) He was so happy that he announced a 10% discount in the Groove Unlimited webshop for our music the coming week.  I want to thank you all for voting, because that got me nominated in the first place and helped with the final result for sure! Thank you, thank you, thank you :) Well this certainly motivates me to go and make some new music to thank you all. Apollo made the top 5 at Schallwelle awards!

I'm very proud to say that my Apollo album made the top 5 in the Schallwelle awards for best international album of the year. I will be present during the award ceremony that will take place on the 10th of March this year. There are still tickets for sale if you want to attend too. You can find more information on http://www.schallwelle-preis.de/. On that website you can also find the other nominees. As you can see the competition is fierce. I don't expect to win, but I'm very happy to be in this list again. I'll be happy anyway because when I don't win I don't have to give a speech in front of all those people. That is some kind of price for me as well ;) So good news anyway. Thank you all so much for voting! I really appreciate it. This motivates me to go and make more music again.

Nominated for the SchallWelle Award

Like the previous years I have been nominated for the yearly Schallwelle Award that is organized by the German Electronic Music club Schallwende. The price is decided by both a jury and the audience. As a listener to electronic music you can vote on your favorite artist and album in both national (that is German in this case) and international categories. Feel free to vote if you want. Ron Boots & Synth.nl nominated Twice by Schallwelle Jury!

I have some very nice news. After the listeners voting has ended I also got an E-mail saying that Ron Boots and I were nominated by the jury as well. This morning I saw on the website that we have been nominated twice even. We are nominated for best international artist but also our CD 'Refuge en Verre' is nominated as best international CD. And this is next to the listeners voting. So at least we made the top 5 twice there :). We are going to the award ceremony together on the 12th of March and there the winners will be announced. We'll see what happens. I'm sure we will have a good time. I'd like to congratulate the other nominees as well, especially my good friends from Morpheusz, Nattefrost and Remy. Ron Boots & Synth.nl nominated for Schallwelle Preis 2010

Last year my 'OceanoGraphy' CD won the Schallwelle Hörerwahl 2009 thanks to your votes! In 2010 I didn't release any solo CD's but I did release a CD together with Ron Boots called 'Refuge en Verre'. This CD is again nominated for the Hörerwahl so you can vote on us if you like. This year there is a seperate category for international artists.

OceanoGraphy wins Best CD 2009 Schallwelle Hörerwahl

Yesterday I went to the Schallwelle Preis awards ceremony. This price is organized by the German Electronic Music Club Schallwende. My OceanoGraphy CD was nominated by the Jury but also by the Listeners. And I'm very pleased to tell you that my OceanoGraphy CD actually won the Listeners price! And that is because of all your votes! Thank you very much for that. I see this as a big compliment and a great motivation to create more music. My congratulations also to the other price winners. And my thanks to the organizers of this very nice event. Price or not, I had a great evening! Hopefully I can be part of this again next year :) Thanks again for all your votes!!

Official Schallwelle Nominations

It is official now. On the Schallwelle website all the jury nominations are presented. I made a screenshot so you can click the picture for a larger version. You can see me in the CD's category. The competition is big so I really don't expect to win. But it is still nice to be in that list of course :) I will be present at the event on the 20th of February in Dinslaken Germany. I was there last year also and it was a nice event. They play some concerts in between and off course it is a nice place to meet people. So if you are going be sure to say hi :)

Synth.nl Nominated for German Schallwelle Award

Hi like last year I'm nominated again by the Jury for a German Music Award called 'Schallewelle Preis'. I'm honered by this of course. Last year I was nominated as newcomer, but didn't win. This year my album OceanoGraphy is nominated for Best Album of the Year. Besides the Jury price there is also an audience award. You can vote for both my album 'OceanoGraphy' and me as artist 'Synth.nl' if you like. Voting is possible until the 20th of January. You can find the website here: http://www.schallwelle-preis.de/. After that click the link 'Das Voting 2009 ist eröffnet.' There is both a text in German as in English. The winners will be announced on the 20th of February.

In March there will be a new prize awarded for Electronic Music in Germany. It is called the 'Schallwelle' (soundwave). There are several prized there and you as an audience can vote on the website.
