Classical Project Files Recovered

Recently I posted on here that I had trouble opening some files of the Classical Project I'm working on. I had planned to release this project on CD in May, but due to this problem I had to postpone that. Since then I've been working hard to get these files working again. And I have some good news. As of today I can access and open all tracks again. Not everything is OK yet, but at least I can work on them again. This doesn't mean that I can still release it in time, since I already started working on my Apollo Missions Album for 2010 and I need all the time for that, but it does mean that I don't have to postpone the Classical Project for a very long time either. I guess I will be able to release it somewhere in the beginning of 2011 now. I'm quite happy actually that these files work again. I was very worried actually. Buy luckily I make a lot of backups and I also got some nice help from Sacha from Roland to solves some issues with the old files I recovered. The picture is made by Bart Auceps by the way. It was one of the idea's we had for the cover. I'll keep you posted on the progress of the Classical Project when I have news.

Classical Project Postponed

I have some sad news. I know some of you are looking forward to my Classical Project, but I decided to postpone it for a while. There are several reasons for that. I thought I was almost finished with this project. I started it in 2006 actually, but today I tried to open the files and lots of stuff isn't working anymore. That means I have to recreate a lot of stuff and I rather spend this time on creating new original Synth.nl music at this moment. Also my record label is not interested in this project since it is now my own music, but just covers of existing music. So I'm putting it aside for now and will decide later what to do with it. In the mean time there are still 5 tracks on my website for you to enjoy. I hope you understand.

Albinoni Cover played on Sounds of Syn

The cover I made from the Classical track 'Adagio in G minor' from the composer Tomaso Albinoni was played on the German Radio show 'Sounds of Syn'. I made this cover for the Schallplatte X release that was recently done by the German Electronic Music club 'Schallwende'. You can find more information on this project here:

Schallplatte X Release

Yesterday at the Schallwende Grill Fest there was a nice surprise waiting. Schallwende organized a contest a while ago were musicians could sent in their Electronic impression of a song from a classical composer. There were 5 composers to choose from. There were many competitors I heard and the jury chose my track to be on the album. Of course I'm very proud of this :)

The track I did was based on a famous piece called 'Adagio in G Minor' by the classical composer Tomaso Albinoni. I didn't make a one to one cover but used some elements from the original composition and made it into my own version.

The album holds 10 tracks in total and is quite nice to listen to. Very varied in styles. I put it on my ipod this afternoon. In the picture on the right you can see the tracklist. This CD is not officially for sale. It will be given away to all the members of the Schallwende club. (If you really really want one. Contact me, maybe I can do something for you). But as for my own track. This track will be also on my 'Classical Project'. This is a project I'm working on that I will try to finish soon after my AtmoSphere album is released. I put my Albinoni track online on my website so you can listen to it even when you don't have the album. You can find it here:

I hope you will enjoy it. And off course if you like this track, keep your eyes out for the Classical Project. You can hear some more preview tracks on that as well on my website.
