New Groove Unlimited Download Shop with FLACs !!

I have some great news. It has taken a lot of work, but the new Groove Unlimited Download Shop is open!!! At this moment you can already buy a lot of titles as MP3 and FLAC and Ron Boots is very busy filling up the shop with even more titles. But at this moment all my Synth.nl albums are already in there and you can buy them as 256 kbit/s CBR MP3 or in the Full Quality Lossless FLAC format. FLAC is a compression method that doesn't alter the audio at all so you get the same quality as the CD but cheaper and no shipping costs etc. All the artwork for all my albums is included and I have personally checked all the audio files. You can pay by Ideal (bank transfer), PayPal and major credit cards via PayPal at the moment. Soon also Mastercard, Visa and American Express will be directly available, but we are still waiting for the payment provider to get the contracts in order. We didn't want to wait for this to put the site online though. When your order is complete and payed you will receive an E-mail with the download link directly and you can listen right away! As you might have read before I have build this web shop for Groove Unlimited and I'm very proud that it is finally online. So go have a look and buy some nice stuff :) Groove Unlimited deserves some reward as well for all the hard work I guess in ripping all the CD's and making them available for you in this very easy way ;) So go over now to https://shop.groove.nl and look around!

AeroDynamics almost out of Stock

Just like I announced previously for my second CD AtmoSphere from 2008, my debut CD AeroDynamics is also almost out of stock. There are only a couple of copies left. AtmoSphere was reprinted recently and I presume Ron will do the same for AeroDynamics, but I'm not entirely sure about that, since we are also working on the Download Shop now. It is up to him. But of course it is nicer to have a physical copy from the very first batch I guess :) If you don't have this CD yet do take a listen. It is a bit different from my current work, but some people still consider it to be my best. You can find more information on AeroDynamics on http://www.synth.nl/AeroDynamics. You can also listen to a few samples there.

AeroDynamics Review in French

And while I'm very busy preparing for the release of my new album still reviews are written about my first album 'AeroDynamics'. I just received this review that is written in French by Guillaume Dumazer for detoxinfo.fr. He send me also a little translation:

Formula 1 fan, Michel did build the concept of this album about it and composed / played all the music alone. More than an hour of synth music with clear reminiscences of JM Jarre works and some hints of Vangelis movie soundtracks. Perfect music if you want to organize a Gran Turismo championship or during cocktails with such obsessing, dream-like melodies. Very strong first opus !

Groove Press info on AeroDynamics

Today I received the newsletter from my record label 'Groove Unlimited' and saw that they added some nice 'Press information' on my first album 'AeroDynamics'. Here you can read the text:

Synth.nl is new in the world of Electronic Music. Behind this modern and recognizable artist name is the Dutchman Michel van Osenbruggen. On his first album ”AeroDynamics” he manages to mix two of his big passions into a very interesting musical whole: Formula 1 racing (well, Michel doesn't race himself but he watches the races with great love and anticipation) and Electronic Music. The 12 tracks on ”AeroDynamics” are not only inspired by cars but also by planes where Michel has a special feeling for as well (he was once an F16-mechanic), especially the aerodynamics of the machines. Cars and planes go fast. “Fast” is also an idea the listener to ”AeroDynamics” might have because most of the compositions have a certain “drive”. The music is rhythmically done cleverly and played with much emphasis on melodies. Let’s say, this could be the music that Jean Michel Jarre might have created nowadays. That can be heard very well on tracks like “DownForce” that has a great base melody, “Drag”, “Turbulence” in which also modern day Tangerine Dream greets and “Modena” that has an euphoric overall feeling. In the relaxing “Stall” the rhythms are scaled down a little. In contrast, fans of danceable music are also invited to ”AeroDynamics” because a lot of the numbers have moments where the feet cannot be held on the ground. Within the world of Electronic Music which is primarily one of ambient and Berlin School sequences, Michel’s work is a welcome new and fresh style.

You can find it on the Groove website along with more reviews here:

http://www.groove.nl/cd/g/gr-146.html

P.S. You can also buy the album from this website. World Wide delivery and payment in different forms including PayPal. Just ask me if you have questions.

Synth.nl with Stall on Sunday Synth

Today my song 'Stall' was played on the 'Sunday Synth' show by Bruce Gall. Stall is song from the 'AeroDynamics' album I released last year. It was a very nice show again. If you like synthesizer music I can advise you to listen to this show that is broadcasted every Sunday from 10-12 AM UK time on AR FM. You can find the website at this URL: http://www.arfm.co.uk/. Bruce played me on last weeks show as well with 3 tracks. So he seems to like my album. Well lets hope he will play me again soon. I've been getting quite some airplay the last year. You can find a list with radio stations that played me on my website here: http://www.synth.nl/media.php. If you know other radio stations that play my kind of synthesizer music that are not on this list. Let me know or let them know about me.

Synth.nl with 3 tracks on Sunday Synth

Today I was played by Scotsman Bruce Gall on his show 'Sunday Synth' on ARFM. Sunday Synth is a nice show specialised in instrumental an synthesizer music. The host Bruce Gall seemed to like my music a lot. He even played three of my tracks: Synthology, DownForce and Turbulence to be precise. I listened live to the show on the webstream. I also recorded it for my archive. So if you missed it and would like to hear it just send me an E-mail.

It was a very nice show to listen to. Very nice music. So thank you very much Bruce for playing me. You can find more information on the show on this URL: http://www.arfm.co.uk/

Synth.nl with Falcon on Homegrown Podcast

Yesterday I found out that I was played on the Homegrown Podcast with my track 'Falcon' the first of June. Falcon comes from my 'AeroDynamics' album and is not on my player on MySpace or my main website. So you can have a chance to hear another track of this album. Rather funny is that he presented this show from his bathroom as you can see in the picture on the left as well. He also told some background on how I came about to make music in the first place. So give it a listen my track is right in the beginnen of the show.

Groove Unlimited special on Elektroland

Today a very nice radio show was done about my record label Groove Unlimited. It was run on Danish radio show 'Elektroland'. It is hosted by Bjorn Jeppesen who you might also know as the musician 'Nattefrost'. Music from several Groove artists was played including my 'AeroDynamics' track. In this show that is normally in Danish there is a very nice English spoken interview with Ron Boots. Ron is a great musician and one of the owners of Groove Unlimited. Ron also remixed and mastered my first CD and will do my next album as well. You can find the show here:

Look for show #72. I hope you will enjoy it.
